ʻĀina Explorers Summer Camp
The Waikōloa Dry Forest Initiative is happy to offer enriching education programs for our community’s keiki this summer. We aim to inspire children to discover their natural surroundings and become lifelong learners in nature. This hands-on, outdoor camp allows keiki to take a closer look at our storied ʻāina and the natural forces that connect people to place.
Only 10 spots are available per camp. Enrollment is based on a first-come, first-served basis. The registration site will open on Monday, May 10th at 9am.
The ʻĀina Explorers Summer Camp is a 4-day program that runs from 8:00am to 3:00pm Tuesday through Friday out of the Waikōloa Dry Forest Preserve. The Geology Camp is a 5-day camp that runs Tues-Sat with an overnight camping trip in Volcanoes National Park. All camps will be based at the Waikōloa Dry Forest Preserve and will include visits to other sites in our large passenger van. Parent drop-off and pick-up will be at the front of Quarry road near the Goodfellow tank at 8:00am. Students must be picked up by 3:00pm. All camps will be based out of the Waikōloa Dry Forest Preserve with several field trips throughout the island.
